Together with CARE and Evangelical Alliance Scotland, we are proud to launch our mythbusting guide, Ending Demand for Prostitution – Busting 10 Myths. There is a private member’s bill currently being presented to the Scottish Parliament proposing that Scotland adopt the End Demand Model for prostitution, otherwise known as the Nordic Model.
You may hear arguments from those opposed to the bill that claim that prostitution is a choice; that it’s dignified work; that it provides a vital service; or that there’s nothing that can be done about it anyway. Our new guide is designed to equip you with the real facts, backed up by evidence. We would love it if you would not only read it but pass it on to others where that could be helpful.
Until 5th September (this Friday) you can also contribute to the call for views about the new bill. We would love it if you did, but if that sounds too intimidating, please just pass on a copy of our mythbuster to your MSP!
